A lovely Oregon panorama! (Click on it-- it's worth it! My blog doesn't like this format but I'm too lazy to change it right now.)
(This is technically cheating. I actually took this on Jan. 1, but not a single photo from 12/31 turned out. It was a boring day-- rain, cold, mediocre college football...)

Project 365: Day 171
There are a lot more photos of the awesome hike AJ and I took on facebook. But I liked this one especially because of the rain-- it started to rain when we got to the top of the hill his house is on, and we stayed pretty dry by staying under the trees. The rain looked like a shiny white sheet. Or an invisibility cloak. So beautiful!
And then you get some bonus pictures:

Project 365: Day 157
I woke up to find this frost on my back door. In the sunlight, it looked bright white. And cold! Brrr.

Project 365: Day 156
Dad and I went to the Christkindelmarkt to have a celebratory brat and beer. It was so good. And we met a nice German man, whom we talked with for a while about beer and wine and all good German things.

Project 365: Day 154
Ok. It's cold in my room. Yesterday's final kicked my butt. Today's should be easier, except for the part where I didn't start studying until yesterday night.

Project 365: Day 153
Today, i took the worst exam ever. Oh man, was it painful!! So then I came home, had some wine, and then made myself cheese and spinach risotto with chicken and veggies in a red wine reduction, steamed broccoli and more red wine. Om nom nom.
Oh, and as a bonus image: the photo ID from our exam today. Feel free to speculate about what it means/where it is/who it is/etc in the comments, if you're feeling bold!

Project 365: Day 152
Ok, this is cheating. But remember weebles? Weebles wobble but they don't fall down? Remember them? Well, I spent so long studying that by the end of the night I was wobbling right out of the library, basically incapable of saying anything other than "Weebles wobble! Weebles wobble but they don't fall down!!"

Project 365: Day 145
Today, we went to the lighting of the Washington Monument. (No, not that one. This one. They're both pretty phallic, though.) It was pretty much a big party, lots of food and people and lights and glowsticks and fireworks!
And then I saw these ladies. They're so... Bawlmer, somehow. I love it. They happily posed for me.And then we went to a neighborhood dive-y bar, where these were my favorite signs.
We also talked to some guys who were building a beeramid out of beer cans. Natty Boh, of course. I think it should be the Egyptologist's wizard staff...
